Gustavo Ramirez Sansano needs no introduction in the world of international dance, as nowadays he is one of Spain’s most internationally acclaimed choreographers, both as a choreographer and artistic director. He began training with Joseta García in Almoradí and completed his formation at Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. As a dancer Gustavo Ramírez joined Ballet Joven de Barcelona and Ballet de Víctor Ullate (Spain), Nederlands Dans Theater (Holland) and Hubbard Street Dance (EEUU) performing works by Jirí Kylián, Hans Van ManenOhad NaharinJacopo GodaniJohan IngerPaul LightfootLionel HocheMargarite DonlonVíctor UllatePhilippe TrehetShusaku TakeuchiRui HortaDavid Parsons and Jim Vincent, among others.

His almost 20 years as choreographer, in adding to his task as Artistic Director of Luna Negra Dance Theater (EEUU) from 2009 until 2012 -where he has been able to develop its unique choreographic style- has consolidated him as one of the values of dance community. His choreographic works are in high demand by some of the most prestigious entities in the industry such as APAP-New York ConferenceJuilliard School of Arts or Jacob’s Pillow, which include Gustavo Ramírez in their activities either educational or on stage.

Gustavo Ramírez Sansano has been the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions for his works. Honoured as “Chicagoans of the Year 2012” by the Chicago Tribune in the category of Arts / Dance, and acclaimed by Dance Magazine as one of the 25 most important people of the world dance in their section “25 to watch 2012 “ or appointed as one of the 10 most important identities in the world of dance by Por la Danza, he has also been awarded with “Les Etoiles de Ballet 2000” (Cannes 2004), “Prix Dom Perignon” (Hamburg 2001), “Premi Ricard Moragas” (Barcelona 1997), 8Masdanza Choreographic Contest (Maspalomas 2003) and Performing Arts Awards of TGV (Valencia 2005 and 2011).

With the support of different organizations like Mercat de les Flors , CCCL’Escorxador Elche , CulturArts / TGV , the Spanish Embassy or INAEM, has made possible the production of an extensive repertoire that has been performed in international festivals such as International Ballet Festival ( USA ) , Palcoscenico Dance (Torino and Casale Monferrato) , Dance in Calza (Italy ) or Millenáris ( Hungary).

The experience acquired by Gustavo Ramirez in companies around the world enriches his work in Titoyaya Project and places him at the forefront of international choreography. This is perceived in the way it faces the various ingredients of his performances, knowing provide the movement of musicality and music plasticity becomes fiercely beautiful that everything he touches.
