BLOOM

Choreography: Daniele Ninarello

Music: Steve Reich, Antonio Vivaldi

Light design: Cristina Spelti

Costumes: Carlotta Montanari
Dancers: MMContemporary Dance Company (7 dancers)

BLOOM is a choreography by upcoming young author Daniele Ninarello, which develops into an orchestration of signs carried along by a perpetual motion, through which the dancers work in partnership. Their bodies cooperate, trying to reconstruct the dynamics of blooming flower, aligning themselves through geometries and movements that are organized to find a common breath and create a wider picture. A ritual that recreates the complex mechanisms of the blossoming of the flower.
Ninarello's piece for MMCDC is the successful outcome of the project "Prove d'Autore XL", by the ANTICORPI XL Network and coordinated by the Associazione Cantieri Danza of Ravenna, which offers young emerging Italian contemporary choreographers the opportunity to demonstrate their authorial skills by creating a new piece for the dancers of a prestigious professional company.
